About Our Ceremonies

Welcome to Harmala Temple!

Our ceremonies are designed to facilitate self-healing, expanded awareness, and meaningful connections. Through meditative, ceremonial music blending digital technology with earthy acoustic and percussive sounds from cultures around the world, we support both the journey and the integration process.

With nearly a decade of mentorship, experience, and education in the ceremonial space, we honor a blend of traditions while incorporating support for all the senses—elements we’ve found to be profoundly transformative. Our intention is to offer a safe and sacred container where you can connect with your most powerful teacher: yourself.

At Harmala Temple, we believe in a balanced approach to healing—nurturing the roots while opening the vision of the third eye—and surrendering to the universal love that connects us all.

At Harmala Temple, we believe the most essential elements of a sacred ceremony are the set and setting, the music, and the container as a whole. With love, care, and intention, we have created a serene home temple designed to nurture your journey. Our space features zen-inspired design, peaceful and ambient lighting, yoga props, stimulating artwork, and comforts for the physical body. We also offer a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces for reflection, connection, and integration.

We honor the individuality of everyone who enters this sacred space. Each guide, facilitator, and guardian at Harmala Temple is committed to their own path of growth and healing, and we do not recognize any hierarchy within our community. Instead, we embrace the understanding that we are all fellow explorers, learning and expanding together.

As a community, we are always evolving—growing, learning, and adapting to meet the needs of those we serve. Our intention is to hold a safe, inclusive, and transformative space where all can feel supported in their journey.

The Ceremonies We Offer

At Harmala Temple, we hold a variety of ceremonies tailored to support individuals at different stages of their journeys. Each gathering is carefully designed to provide a safe, transformative, and profoundly healing experience.

  • Micro-Dose Sound Baths:
These gatherings are ideal for those new to our community. They offer a gentle introduction to our space and provide an opportunity to connect with fellow participants in a relaxed, nurturing environment.

  • Overnight Ceremonies (Home Temple):
Hosted at our home temple, these ceremonies are limited to 8 participants. They include an intimate morning share circle and a nourishing breakfast to support integration and reflection.

  • Intimate Ceremony Weekends (Friday-Sunday):
Designed for small groups of up to 5 participants, these weekend gatherings are held at our home temple. They include dieta-friendly, home-cooked meals, integration circles, breathwork, and movement practices to deepen the experience.

  • Weekend Aya Ceremonies (Palomar Mountain):
Set amidst the serene beauty of Palomar Mountain, these ceremonies welcome 6-20 participants. The weekend includes dieta-friendly, home-cooked meals, integration circles, breathwork, and movement. The location boasts stunning stargazing, a cozy lodge with a grand fireplace in the ceremonial space, and 10 bedrooms surrounded by trees and mountain flowers—an ideal setting for connection and transformation.

  • All-Inclusive Transformational Retreats:
These three-night retreats are hosted at breathtaking locations in Southern California. Fully integrative, they include movement practices, nourishing dieta-friendly meals, and personalized guidance to facilitate deep healing and growth.

  • Private Ceremonies:
We also offer private ceremonies, tailored for solo journeys, romantic partners, families, friends, or even business partners. Any type of ceremony we offer can be customized into a private experience, allowing for a deeply personal and intentional space to support your unique needs and connections.

The Flow of Ceremony
We begin all gatherings by sharing guidelines, tuning in, and setting intentions. The facilitated portion of the ceremony typically lasts 4-6 hours and is guided by sound, silence, and live music shared by Danny, Malia, and seasoned guest musicians and guardians.

Our music honors a diversity of languages, instruments, and cultures, blending original medicine songs, acoustic sound bath instruments, and unique electronic ambient elements. This carefully curated soundscape exquisitely supports and carries participants through their journeys.

Each ceremony begins and ends as a group, creating a shared sense of connection and closure. After the ceremony, we often gather around a fire (weather permitting), share nourishing food, and take time for reflection and connection with one another.
